I was born in Macau and finished highschool there.
I furthered my college education in Hong Kong
and spent four wonderful years as an undergraduate
student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
and obtained my B.Sc in Electronics there.
With this background, I felt particularly fortunate to
have the opportunity to act as the Department's Director of Undergraduate
Studies from 1994-1996 and currently Student Affair Office (SAO)
Liaison, both of which allowed me to interact with many interesting
students in Hong Kong.
I obtained both of my
M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the
University of Toronto in 1981 and 1985, respectively.
Besides the degrees, cold weather and hard work,
I met my wife Karen in Toronto.
