Grade Database -- COMP361 Spring 2004

The Grade database for COMP361, Spring 2004 is being kept here.  Please check it to see what grades you have received on your assignments, exams, projects, etc.

  1. Assignment 1 --  DNS, HTTP and SMTP
    Marking scheme is available here
If you have questions concerning your grade,  please contact the TA, Ms. Xu Ji, xuji@cs.ust.hk

  2. Midterm has been marked and is available to be picked up.  Please see grade database
An answer key is available here.
Exam Average was 68.5;  Median was 71; Standard Deviation was 16.8

Some of you have told me that you are worried about the low grades you received on the exam.
You should be aware that the final class grade will be marked on a curve.
For example,  for this exam,  based on the score distribution, a 70 would be considered a B.

  3. The project has been marked. Please see the grade database for your grade.

If you have any questions concerning your grade or would like to know more about how the project was tested (we ran many scripts on each of the projects to evaluate their performance) please see the TA, Ms. Xu Ji, xuji@cs.ust.hk.  She will walk though your projects' performance on each of the scripts with you.

If  your grade DOES NOT appear in the grade database please contact Ms. Xu Ji at xuji@cs.ust.hk immediately.  A missing grade means that we were unable to compile your program and you will need to personally demonstrate that it works (if this is the case you should also have already received  an email to this effect).

  4. Final exam grades are now available in the  grade database.
An answer key is  available here.

Please check ALL of your grades in the database.  If there are any typos please contact the instructor at golin@cs.ust.hk immediately (and definitely before June 1, 2004) since the grades in the database are what will be used to calculate your final class grade.

There will be two sets office hours for you to review your exam scripts.
